Getting started in Fusing Workshop

With Boris Chasin

This two-day workshop will introduce the beginner to glass fusing and slumping techniques and provide the information that someone would need to set up their own studio. The student will leave with at least 3 finished projects. They will be able to pick up their work the day after the end of the class.

The cost is $350.00 + taxes. A deposit will reserve your place. The balance is payable at registration and includes all materials and the use of kilns and tools.

Knowledge of cutting glass would be helpful. Closed shoes are required. The workshops take place from 10am to 4pm. Group size is limited to 6.

 

Glass Control  (Intermediate Fusing Workshop)

If you have now arrived at a stage where you would like to add some science to your creative repetoire, this class will be very useful for you. This class will teach you how we achieve repeatable results. Through hands on, demos, problem solving, deconstruction of examples and slides we learn how to control glass in the kiln. We will see how temperature variations, layering, reverse firing, inlay and various other techniques will lead you to endless permutations and combinations. Students are encouraged to bring “problem pieces” for analysis.

The cost is $185.00 + taxes. A deposit will reserve your place. The balance is payable at registration. All materials, use of kilns and tools are included.

The one day workshop is from 10am to 4pm. Groups are limited to 6 persons.

 

Initiation to Stained Glass Workshop

This one-day workshop will familiarize the beginner with the Tiffany technique.
Students will leave with a small panel that they will complete during the day.
The cost of $90.00 + taxes is payable at registration and includes all materials and use of tools. Security goggles & closed shoes are required.


The workshops take place from 10am to 4pm. Group size is limited to 6.

 

Glass bead workshop

With Neli

Using a HotHead torch you’ll learn the basics of how to make beads out of Moretti glass rods. This will allow you to set up your own studio at home.

The price is $115 (paid at the inscription) which includes the materials and the equipment. Security goggles & closed shoes are required.

The workshop takes place Saturday from 10am to 1pm. Call for dates.

 

Fused glass jewelry workshop

You’ll learn the basics of glass fusing in the context of jewelry making. You’ll learn to cut glass, work with compatible materials and prepare the kiln for fusing.
You’ll be able to pick up your work the day after.

The price is $115 (paid at the inscription) which includes the materials and the equipment. Security goggles & closed shoes are required.
